I believe a lot of Jews (but certainly not all) act rather bad in certain ways. Yet we all know Jews who don’t fit the stereotype, including all the Jews I grew up who were friends of my Judeophilic family. I also had some Jewish friends as a young man. The thing is that I never thought these thoroughly assimilated Jews acted any different from anybody else. In fact, I never thought of their Jewishness much at all.
When the black children in the neighborhood say, "Give me some money." I stop, give them a big perplexed grin like I'm confused and say, "Why do you think I have any money?" They usually smile back and we go our ways. It's a game of course.
I'm a very poor, almost destitute white, but I try to live a relatively kind and orderly life. Addiction has taken it's toll and I've dropped to some low standards at times. Get up and try again. That's all most poor people can do. It's easy to criticize trashy people when you haven't been raised in poverty. I wasn't raised in poverty , and do it myself sometimes. Still, when I hear the terminology "White trash" I think of my Uncle Charly telling my cousin, "God doesn't make trash." Uncle Charly is far from an unsophisticated rube.
I respect them as well on a basic cultural level. I can't extend that respect to Zionists of any color, religion or affiliation. Zionism, in my opinion, wants your attention, soul, intellect, well being and basic humanity as well as your sofa. I can be critical of ghetto culture (I reside in the middle of it), but respect any black on a basic cultural level before I can respect a Zionist.
I enjoyed this article because, aside from my little rant, I didn't read the word Zionism once. Most of the emphasis was on personal experience and secular Judaism. Refreshing at the moment. Some apt observations. Thank you.
I gave up my Nazi party membership card in 1945. Now I'm just a run of the mill anti Zionist if that means I support the nullification of IzzyRyeHell. I don't need to do much, just sit back and laugh as the Zionist project implodes.
