About the Matt Gaetz Sex Trafficking Nonsense

Now that this idiocy is back in the news and sucking up more of my valuable brain bandwidth, I think this is due for a repost. Look, I hate this guy as much as the rest of you. It’s just that I think this “sex trafficking” charge is absolute nonsense.

Look, I hate Matt Gaetz as much as anyone on the Left, but I hate the prude feminists who are harping on this case about as much.

What he’s charged with isn’t sex trafficking. The “little girl” was a prostitute. A teenage prostitute. She was an expensive call girl. Gaetz, etc. were buying prostitutes, and she was one of them.

She lied about her age and used a fake ID, so Ginsburg and Gaetz thought she was legal. Turns out this prostitute was 17 1/2. At this time she was not only having sex with clients but was also having sex with both men and women for free.

Gaetz and Ginsburg finally discovered that she was lying about her age, read her the riot act, and told her to get out. Neither man had sex with her again. This is all uncontroversial.

At the time she was a minor, Gaetz flew her on an airplane from Florida to Georgia and then had sex with her in Georgia. That’s supposedly “sex trafficking.” No it isn’t!

Because according to Feds, if I buy an underage prostitute, supposedly I’m now “trafficking” her, I guess by having sex with her? So having sex with a female is now “trafficking.”

And if I transport this underage prostitute across state lines for the purposes of sex, this is also “trafficking.” No it isn’t! See how stupid this is? Grow some testicles, men, and quit promoting this feminist nonsense.

Sex trafficking is supposed to be all about sex slavery to pimps. They’re being trafficked because they’re enslaved and can’t escape, which is probably the case with most pimps. No sex slavery, no trafficking.

In 2013 in the midst of the twin feminist moral panics - Pedophile Mass Hysteria and the Teenage Girl Sex Panic - the stupid Congress made a new law redefining the term “sex trafficking” to where it is now grotesquely abused.

In a word, they expanded it to sex with minor prostitutes. Now anyone who has sex with a minor prostitute is “trafficking” her. Look, this is ridiculous.

You want to make it illegal? Fine. Call the crime “Sex with a Minor Prostitute” or some such, but you need to prove that he knew or should have known she was a minor. Make the penalties whatever is reasonable. Just don’t call it “trafficking.” That’s asinine.

Of course the Feds have gleefully prosecuted these ridiculous cases along with following the usual grotequely excessive sentencing guidelines for federal crimes.

Anyway this girl was barely illegal. She would have been legal in most states except she was a prostitute, and minors can’t be prostitues. 16 or 17 year old girls are legal in most states. Those girls can have sex with a 90 year old man if they want to.

So you’re an adult man dating a 17 year old girl in one of these states where it’s legal. Now, according to Feds, if you buy this girl as little as a sandwich, you’re not dating her legally anymore and instead you’re committing the federal crime of sex trafficking.

Why? Because by buying her a sandwich, she’s been transformed from a legal teenage girl into an illegal teenage prostitute! A literal prostitute. Because you bought her a Goddamned sandwich.

Consider the usual quid pro quo of adult dating: “buy me stuff and I have sex with you.”

Based on the quid pro quo above, I guess all of us men who date women based on this quid pro quo have been buying prostitutes our whole lives, right? And all of you women who date men are nothing but a bunch of prostitutes, right?

What’s hilarious about this law is it seems to tell men to go out and have sex with all the legal females they want to but just don’t pay them! I think this is a great concept in general and should be promoted to all women. Hey guys. Just quit paying them!

What’s the charming innocent little girl-child above doing now? Why this wilting little innocent as the driven snow damsel is a pornstar. Like I said, she’s basically just a prostitute.
