The "US Government Gave Another $20 Billion in Military Aid to Israel" Bullshit

As much as we wish this story were true so we could hate on Israel even more and rile up even more righteous anger, this is simply fake news.

This is being reported all over the Left Internet as if the US just gave Israel another $20 billion! Now if we did, I’d be outraged too. But we didn’t. This shouldn’t even be a story.

The truth is that this aid was passed by Congress via an 80% vote (outrageous, I know). Remember that vote. Congress passed the bill with the aid and then it went to Biden.

I suppose he signed it but just because Congress passes it and he signs it, he doesn’t necessary have to put that military aid in motion. He can hold up the whole thing if he wants.

When it comes to military aid, the buck stops in the Executive Branch. So the aid bill was passed three months ago, but the Biden Administration had been holding up the actual implementation of the aid.
