American Conservatism Thinks People are Basically Bad and Have to Be Terrorized into Good Behavior

This is US conservatism. US conservatism hates most Americans including all of the poor and working class. Except for the rich and the upper middle class, the rest of the population is seen as unproductive if not thieving, apathetic if not lazy, and irresponsible. We’re basically screw-offs who don’t want to work and have to be viciously controlled by bosses who act like drill sergeants. That’s why American conservatives are cruel. They think people will only act good if they are terrorized into it.

Notice how this conservative notion that humans are basically bad at their core ties in with fundamentalist Christianity that says people are born in sin?
