Trump has no real values at all, he thinks everything is just a negotiation (devoid of any moral considerations), and he projects this mentality on to every situation irrespective of the context. He has no understanding of a broader moral or civilizational context.
It's hard to understand things when you don't read books; Trump relies on an almost neo-reptilian sense of weakness, fear, ego, and greed. Personally, I think he perfectly represents the true American spirit of success through slavery, stolen land, murder and grift.
