Gazans have a right to resist occupation by Israel until Israel is no longer occupying their land. Now what exactly that means is uncertain. But I say that they should be able to get an airport and a port and not have Israel inspecting everything.

Palestinian nationalists say that all of Israel Proper is an “occupation,” every town and city is a “settlement,” and all Israeli civilians are “settlers” and hence valid targets.

Towns and cities inside Israel Proper are not illegal settlements under international law. They’re perfectly legal towns and cities.

Israeli civilians are not illegal settlers under international law, they’re perfectly legal residents of Israel, a valid and legal country. Therefore attacking them is a war crime. The UN says the only illegal settlers and settlements are in the Golan Heights and the West Bank and I agree.

It wouldn’t be legal to attack Israeli civilians even if they are illegal settlers, but I don’t mind Palestinians attacking the adult settlers even…
