My Mom had that grandma, “seen it all, heard it all, and don’t care anymore” mindset. My actual grandma on my father’s side had the same thing.

That’s one great thing about grandmas! There’s even a saying:

If you want to know the truth about anything, ask an old lady.

It’s true! There’s one wiser than an old lady. Old men are said to be wiser, but they’re still defending against a lot of things for their egos, so they’re lying a lot. With old ladies, it’s over. Their looks were all they had or all anyone valued them for, and now they’re mostly shot. No one’s competing for men anymore. They’ve mostly stopped working. There’s nothing to defend against anymore, so you can quit lying and start being honest for once. And from thence arises the straight up shot of whiskey honestly of the old lady, one of God’s greatest creations.
