Europeans Say America Has a Vicious Work Culture
I think there is vicious work culture in our country. I was on a forum and Americans were going down the list of reasons Americans get fired from their jobs. The Europeans on the board were absolutely appalled by the viciousness of US work culture. They all said that none of these things would get you fired in Europe. Sure, you can get fired over there, but you have to screw up pretty bad instead of getting fired for nothing.
I’ve worked at all sorts of jobs in my life, and I’ve seen many people get fired. I can tell you right now that 90% of the fired people did absolutely nothing to deserve firing. They were all adequate workers. Instead 90% of the time they were fired simply because the boss didn’t like them. That’s it! I haven’t seen many people fired for poor work performance.
