As Substack is, at this moment in time, a place for thinkers to express themselves in an unfiltered way and free of censorship, I will not unsubscribe. I believe in freedom of thoughts and freedom of speech. Those who feel triggered, offended, afraid, etc. should "look away." Although you write on subjects and issues that could be considered controversial, we all should have the intellectual curiosity to hear you out and then use our critical thinking skills. ‘Beyond Highbrow’ is meant expand our usual thinking. Doesn't mean that we agree, but even in disagreement, we learn something.

Ukraine's attempt to blow up Russia's entire air nuclear deterrent yesterday seemed crazy to me until I remembered the attacks on the radars months ago, and the media consent manufacturing campaigns earlier trying to convince their citizenry that they can win a nuclear war without them getting harmed. And the politicians and centers of power are convinced of this as well.

I don't know if the rationale is that they indend that the Russians will submit or just psychological destabilization has they have been proposing. Whatever they have in mind, it's just not a good idea to me.

And this goes us straight up to Operation unthinkable. They have been fantazing about the idea of nuking Russia without it being able to respond since some time.

I'm not sure what is worse. That they are delusional enough to bring this to fruition, or that they would nuke an entire nation long time ago if they could get away with it.
